Which battery type is best for UPS?

i have 10 KVA Numeric UPS. Currently 20 SMF batteries has been connected. But is giving only 20 mins of backup time.
People say that backup time will get reduced very quickly in SMF batteries and advised to go for Tubular batteries.
Is it true? Which type of battery give more backup time atleast for next 3 to 4 years? is it SMF or UMF or Tubular?
