You may be experiencing under-current, where the battery actually kicks in for a brief period. If you don't have lights dimming issues for millisecond outage issues, it might be the battery which nees replacement. In that case, a red icon with a cross on the battery should go off.</description>

		<description>Is it a fairly old battery backup?  It's possible the internal batteries are getting old so it can no longer keep a charge.  I had something like that happen to me before.</description>
