take your laptop to HCL service center and they will resolve your problem.

There could be an issue with your DC Jack on your laptop’s motherboard(where you plug the jack in.) Possibly it’s lose and the action of pushing on it with the plugs causes a short? Wouldn’t surprise me.

there may be a problem with hardware on your laptop….. this has happened to me with one my older laptops whenever I would plug in my charger it would freeze up and I’d have to shut if off..well later I found out there was a hardware problem with my laptop. If that’s not the problem then their might be a problem with your charger. Hope this helps. Best of Luck

Have you tried removing the battery and plugging in the charger? I’ve seen defective batteries cause that before.

Best is to take to HCL dealer or service centre and they will attend either free or on payment. Don’t try yourself lest you damage your machine beyond repairs.
